Merbau works with owners of small Malaysian businesses — typically those who have been running for at least two years and feel pulled between keeping the business going and thinking about where it should go. If you often feel too busy to plan but sense that planning matters, this work is designed with you in mind.

Both options are available. We are based in Melaka and welcome in-person meetings at our office on Jalan Laksamana. For clients outside Melaka or those who prefer it, sessions work well over a video call. The work itself is the same either way.

Nothing elaborate. Before a first session we send a short set of questions — perhaps twenty minutes of your thinking — to make the session itself more useful. You do not need to bring financial reports or formal documents. Honest thinking about your business is the most valuable thing.

The Horizon Check (RM 710) and Three-Year Review (RM 1,950) are fixed-price engagements invoiced on confirmation. The Horizon Partnership (RM 3,400) is invoiced at the start of each month. Payment is by bank transfer. We will discuss payment details when you get in touch.

That is perfectly fine. Reach out and describe your situation briefly. We can suggest the most fitting starting point, or occasionally shape something that suits your circumstances better. A short initial conversation costs nothing.

Yes. What you share in sessions is treated with care and not discussed with anyone outside the engagement. We can formalise this with a written confidentiality agreement if that gives you greater comfort — just ask when you get in touch.
